Space, Nature Mandalas and Solar Panels

A quick post for today’s session as we’ve been quite busy, and not much time to blog. Great, things are happening! In brief, there’s a new idea for Open Platform involving a permanent space at The College (http://www NULL.artspacecollege NULL.com/), more chats about solar panels, some beautiful nature mandalas and good old project work and one on ones.

Tim from TCW, one of our regulars has joined in the conversation about solar panels with Vince, John and Colin from last week. Methinks there’ll be something out of that before too long..

There’s also a project underfoot to create a permanent Open Platform space at The college (http://www NULL.artspacecollege NULL.com/), in collaboration with Lifespace Artspace (http://www NULL.artspacelifespace NULL.com/). And today Helene, Daphne, Lynne and Eleanor are working through some of the specific details and writing a proposal. We’ll be putting up some official information on this site sometime very soon, but if you’re interested in the meantime please do get in touch.

I’ve been talking with a new member Vito about all sorts ranging from Eco-houses to inter-generational mentoring. He’s over from Lithuania and looking for a future here in the UK. Good stuff.

Dan is working on his project encouraging corporate buildings to turn their grass and roofs into allotments and green spaces, for the benefit of the workers on site, the local community and the PR of the company ;) He’s been working on this idea ever since I’ve known him and it’s a hard slog, but he’s getting somewhere. Much respect to his tenacity and big hopes for a successful outcome.

Andy brought along some of his nature mandala art. Very beautiful. He’s working on a project involving monthly nature dialogues. Unfortunately he’s already left, so we don’t have contact details for that, but will try next time. Again, if you want to get in touch with him you can always email us directly and we’ll do our best to put you in touch.

Freja also came along just for some chat and offers of listening and spent some time talking to Andy. And Colin was bimbling about doing his usual and helping clear up.

And that’s it for today. Bit of a rushed post, sorry, but it’s already gone 9 and I really should start encouraging people to go to the pub ;)

See you next time.

Alastair
