Mentoring

Mentoring is an important aspect of the Open Platform network. There are three tiers of support available – peer mentoring, personal mentoring and project mentoring.

Peer Mentoring

According to the participants this is one of the ‘magic elements’ of Open Platform where a strong sense of community has been developing between like-minded peers, all supporting each other towards realising their dreams.

Every person joining OP adds and gains access to the existing rich mix of skills and talents amongst the participants.

Peer mentoring can take place amongst the participants on a one on one basis or in clusters of 6-8 people.

Personal Mentoring

One to one mentoring is an essential part of the program, particularly at the start, helping the individual to navigate through any doubts and fears common to a transition or new beginning.

Most importantly a mentor can provide vital support and encouragement, fostering an environment where imagination, creativity and exciting breakthroughs emerge on the way to a person actualising their goals.

Project Mentoring

This stage of mentoring specifically supports the participant with the practical aspects of their project whether this is setting goals, marketing, financial advice, identifying links with the greater community or even setting up a website. Very often people become ‘stuck’ in their project development and need help in simply moving on to the next step.
